Dr. Rakesh Jalali is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist specializing in the treatment of cancer using radiation therapy. He has a particular focus on pediatric radiation oncology, making him an expert in treating cancer in children.

• MD in Radiotherapy and Oncology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, January 1994; passed with distinction, awarded "Merit of First Order".

Professional Experience:

• Medical Director and Lead in Neuro Oncology at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai.
• Over 28 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, specializing in high-precision radiotherapy techniques.

Notable Achievements:

• Development of Neuro Oncology Group: Dr. Jalali developed the Neuro Oncology group at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), recognized as one of the finest such units in India and globally.
• Establishment of Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology (ISNO): He was instrumental in establishing ISNO in 2008, serving as its founding General Secretary, later as President, and currently chairs its senior advisory council.
• Founder of Brain Tumour Foundation of India: Dr. Jalali founded this internationally recognized charitable organization dedicated to supporting patients with brain tumors and their families.
