Dr Zhang Daning

Dr. Zhang Daning is a world-renowned master of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. He proposed the "Heart-Kidney Axis System Theory" and the "Kidney Deficiency and Blood Stasis Theory and Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating Method," advancing TCM nephrology as an independent discipline. His name has been immortalized in astronomy with Asteroid 8311 named in his honor—the first asteroid in the world named after a medical scientist.
