Dr. Khullar was instrumental in the creation of a set of 15 educational CD-ROMs in ‘Minimal Access Surgery – Basic & Advanced Procedures’ that were released by His Excellency Shri K R Narayanan, the Hon. President of India on July 15, 2002. He played an active role in compiling, streamlining and editing scientific content of the manual titled ‘Minimal Access Surgery – Guidelines & Recommendations’ endorsed by Ministry of Health, Medical Council of India, National Board of Examinations, Indian Medical Association and Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons. Currently serving as Senior Director at the Max Institute of Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Bariatric Surgery, he has been a pioneer in developing advanced techniques for hernia and minimal access surgery. He was instrumental in establishing dedicated laparoscopic surgery departments at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and later at Max Hospital, Saket. Known for his academic contributions, he has co-authored medical textbooks, produced educational CDs, and helped draft national guidelines for minimal access surgery. Dr. Khullar continues to mentor surgeons globally and plays an active role in international surgical societies.
