Dr Shuvo Dutta

Dr. Shuvo Dutta is a distinguished Senior Consultant Cardiologist with over 34 years of experience in interventional and clinical cardiology. Currently serving at BM Birla Heart Research Centre, Kolkata, he is known for his pioneering work in carotid artery stenting and angioplasty via radial access, which he first performed in India  a milestone that was nationally televised by Doordarshan in 1998. His practice focuses on complex cardiac interventions with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures for optimal patient recovery. Dr. Dutta is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (USA), reflecting his global recognition in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
