Dr. Sunil Kumar Swain is a leading paediatric cardiothoracic surgeon with over two decades of experience, having performed more than 2,000 surgeries for congenital heart disease. His patients range from as small as 2 kg to complex cases requiring high-risk interventions. He has a strong interest in paediatric heart transplantation and ECMO, having performed the first paediatric cardiac ECMO in Hyderabad in 2012 and the first paediatric heart transplant in 2017. He is also an active researcher with numerous publications and affiliations with major international cardiac surgery societies.
